Pooches, when my manservant returned from his morning walk/run this morning he immediately gathered gardening tools and headed to his “farm” to begin his gardening duties for the season. Hoes, rakes, and shovels fairly flew as he transformed the neglected raised bed full of weeds to a garden ready for planting. He took a break to carry me to the vet (his new pastime) but resumed his gardening when we returned to the den.
We were told that there would be no excursion today because garden duties were combined with wash day duties leaving little time for anything but preparing our lunch.
What a lunch it was! To reward himself for all of the productive activity of the morning a fine dish of braised kielbasa, cabbage and tatties soon was served at our picnic bench. It was fine eating, pooches!
Starlight and I thought we might squeeze in an excursion after lunch but my manservant headed back to his gardening activity where he is in the sowing seeds and planting phase of today’s work.
