Gentle excursion

Pooches, my manservant was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed this morning when he hopped out of bed.  After the requisite amount of coffee he headed to his walk/run park for a rather lengthy walk/run.  Upon his return to our den twenty minutes in the kitchen yielded a tasty breakfast of country ham with grits and redeye gravy.  Woo hoo!

We lounged about our den for a while before my manservant carried Starlight to the Hybridmobile and buckled her in.  Pooches, that meant only one thing:  a visit to the vet!

A couple of hours later Starlight returned speaking of giant needles and torture chambers.  My manservant assured me Starlight was stretching the truth a wee bit but I’ve been to that vet before and I know what goes on in that office.  Shudder!

Lunch was quickly prepared and we enjoyed tasty sliders before heading to my overlook for our excursion.  Starlight had grown quite sore since receiving all of her shots and needed assistance boarding the Hybridmobile.  When we reached my overlook my manservant lifted her from the Hybridmobile and placed her on the ground.  She walked gingerly along and I knew that today I would bear the full burden of sniffing duty.

We’ve returned to our den and Starlight headed immediately to her bed when we arrived.  My manservant is taking care of a few household chores.  I think I’ll take a nap.

You can’t beat country ham with grits and redeye gravy for breakfast!

It seemed like lunch quickly followed breakfast while we enjoyed sliders of pulled pork loin, coleslaw, horseradish sauce and a we bit of HP sauce.

Because Starlight was sore from her annual shots this morning we took our sniffing patrol at my overlook rather gently.

Starlight, we’ve come a long way from the Hybridmobile. We’d better head back.

You mean I have to walk ALL the way back up that hill?

I scurry back up the hill while my manservant carries Starlight to the Hybridmobile.
