Ending June and starting July without excursions

Pooches, my manservant took to his sick-bed yesterday in the wee hours of the morning.  It was a long day for Starlight and me tending to his every need.  All thoughts of eating were dismissed and we spent most of the day with him dozing in bed or on the Davenport.  Needless to say, an excursion didn’t happen.

This morning started on a brighter note.  My manservant headed to his walk/run park for his walk/run at a rather slow pace.  When he returned to our den he undertook a few regular Friday chores but dismissed the idea of undertaking an excursion today.  He said he felt much better but the humidity outside was oppressive and he was afraid exposing himself to that was cause a relapse.

The good news is that in late morning he announced that he needed something to eat.  The bad news is that “something to eat” turned out to be a mountainous pile of mash with chives!  Starlight and I were limited to pooch treats.

Pooches, hopefully I’ll see you on Silent Saturday!

Knowing that Starlight and me would have difficulty eating mash at our picnic bench, my manservant was thoughtful to bring pooch treats with us.
