Carnival is in full swing!

Pooches, the time slipped away from us this year and our pack has been negligent in properly celebrating Mardi Gras season.  With Fat Tuesday only a few days away, we decided to jump into the season with all four feet by having a crawfish boil in our back yard today in lieu of a regular excursion.

When my manservant returned from his Friday yoga class he bore crawfish, corn, potatoes and sausage.  A kettle was filled with water and crab boil and, after properly cooking, the kettle’s contents were drained and poured out on a platter.  A festive tablecloth was selected from the bureau and we paraded out to a spot in front of the blooming spirea and had a grand time.  The heat from the crab boil was at the perfect level and, by the time we concluded our feast, all of our lips were properly burning!

Starlight and I intend to plan throughout the afternoon for the big day Tuesday.

See you tomorrow on Silent Saturday.

Sunshine

We're waiting patiently for our crawfish fest to begin.

I don't care if that thing is dead, don't hold it so close to my nose!

Sunshine, when we finish our crawfish boil we can start making plans for Tuesday's Krewe of Pooches Parade!
