Recovery Monday

Pooches, we are all in the recovery mode after yesterday’s thrilling Puppy Bowl!  Not only did my manservant have a bit too many hor d’oeuvres and root beer, he also was the recipient of a aggravating head cold.  He  managed a morning walk/run and late morning yoga class but has been laying about the reminder of the time in recovery mode.  We decided to undertaken an early excursion today and headed to my arboretum in mid-morning.  After several days of dreary weather in these parts, the SUNSHINE decided to make an appearance as we hiked the newly-cleared trails.  SUNSHINE was a welcome sight after a foggy start to the morning.

Lunch at our picnic bench was enjoyed (rib eye of boeuf).  My manservant prepared a mound of potato mash loaded with much onion and many cloves of garlic in an effort to drive away his cold.

Starlight and I plan on spending the afternoon keeping far away from my manservant and his non-stop hacking and sniffling!

The authorities have cleaned the trails nicely in my arboretum!

Starlight, the next time we come to my arboretum remind me to bring a board, hammer and nails so I can repair this pier.

A board 40 inches long should do the trick.

Starlight becomes lost in thought as she gazes over the swamp and out to my Rez.

Starlight, look at all these cypress knees!

Maybe you ought to remove the leaf that is covering up Sunshine's left eyeball.
