Cold but drying out

Pooches, after four days of rain, we awoke this morning to cloudy, cold, and windy weather but NO RAIN!  My manservant headed out well before sunrise to his walk/run park.  Starlight and I pulled up the covers and resumed our sleep.

As my manservant returned to our den the SUNSHINE finally poked through the clouds and spread across the land!  After starting the process of Monday wash day duties, my manservant headed to our library to resume reading books for his new academic endeavor.  In mid-morning he emerged from our library saying “a little bit of Shakespeare goes a long way” and suggested that we take an early excursion.  We decided that because there was plenty of SUNSHINE, our winter coats were not needed and we quickly hopped in the Hybridmobile.

Our Hybridmobile ferried us across my spillway and pulled into my Saturday park.  There was quite a strong northerly wind blowing off of the water as we began inspecting the  waterfront for smells.  I think the cold wind caused most of the creatures to remain in their burrows and we found interesting smells rather sparse.  It wasn’t long before the strong wind caused us to retreat to the warmth of the Hybridmobile and return to our den complaining about the return of cold weather.

Later in the morning when my manservant returned from his yoga class, he revealed a bowl of gumbo he had acquired at a seafood establishment for our lunch!  Woo hoo!  Too cold to gather at the picnic bench, we gathered ’round the inside table and ate with gusto.  My manservant has now headed to our library and plans on reading through the afternoon.  Starlight and I are, of course, starting our afternoon naps.  I think we shall get my manservant to build us a fire in our fireplace later this afternoon.

Pooches, our eyes are looking ahead with excitement to Wednesday night’s Burns’ Dinner!  We can’t wait!

Sunshine

It is certainly a blustery day at my Saturday park!

I knew we should have worn our jackets.

Starlight, I smell a creature burrowing amongst these rocks!

I guess it was a false alarm.

Our job is done here. Let's scurry back to the warmth of our den.

Put our bowls on the table before you sit down.
