Pooches, Starlight woke up this morning anxious to get an excursion underway. Her leash had been returned to the Hybridmobile by Hybridmobile II yesterday evening and she was ready to make up for yesterday’s aborted excursion.
My manservant, a wee bit stiff and sore from his strenuous leaf-gathering activity yesterday, limped through his walk/run at his walk/run park. When he returned to our den he filled the bathtub with hot water and soaked for quite some time and appeared somewhat rejuvenated from the long soak. Minor chores were completed around our den before he suggested an early excursion because the threat of rain. Starlight flew to the Hybridmobile!
The Hybridmobile was directed to my Saturday park on the other side of my Rez, but only after stopping at the market for supplies for what my manservant said was going to be a ‘down home country’ meal. Excitement filled the Hybridmobile as we anticipated a special lunch!
Our visit to my Saturday park proved quite uneventful. We almost had the park to ourselves. No ‘gators were spotted but the geese and herons were abundant. After we circumnavigated the park, we hopped back in the Hybridmobile eager to see the fare of my manservant’s ‘down home country’ lunch. He kept us shooed out of the kitchen while it was being prepared and strange, unfamiliar smells wafted through the air. When lunch was finally prepared we paraded out to he picnic bench where my manservant revealed the meal: hominy with molasses and rendered fatback! Woo hoo!
Starlight and I are going to take our naps as soon as we finish refreshing our knowledge of CPR procedures in case they are needed this afternoon.
