Pooches, we had quite a different excursion today! Early this morning my manservant boarded the Hybridmobile bound for the not-so-nearby village to visit his teeth vet. Starlight and I expected him to pay a visit to his gym or walk/run park on his return but, instead, he said a trip to his alma mater was necessary in order to acquire books for a new academic pursuit he is undertaking this spring. Whey asked if we wanted to accompany his to the campus we jumped at the chance.
The journey took us into the heart of the concrete jungle. Starlight and I remained with the Hybridmobile while my manservant headed to the on-campus bookmonger. We had a grand time human watching at all those passing the Hybridmobile. My manservant returned after a short time with an armload of books. After placing them in the Hybridmobile’s boot, my manservant urged Starlight and me to come with him so he could show us all of the places he frequented when he was matriculating here.
Starlight and I were spellbound by the many sidewalks crisscrossing a large campus of hills and valleys. Strange looking buildings dotted the area and a gazillion humans, all with backpacks, were walking to and fro from building to building! It was quite a sight, pooches. Smells were everywhere and we were exhausted from all the sniffing (and the occasional bark) when my manservant proclaimed an end to the excursion.
We returned to our den and, after some boiling and chopping in the kitchen, we enjoyed an egg salad sandwich on rye with crisps at our picnic bench. Starlight and I are headed for our afternoon naps while my manservant plans on diving into the one of the tomes he acquired this morning.
