Chillin’ out

Pooches, we’re in for another winter day in these parts.  My manservant decided against braving the cold morning air and headed to his gym instead of his walk/run park.  He spent half an hour hamster-like on the treadmill before hopping on the stationary velocipede followed by time in the sauna.  When he returned to our den he was quite refreshed and headed to the kitchen to prepare a steaming bowl of porridge for breakfast.

We all agreed a lazy morning was in order and enjoyed poking at the fire in our fireplace and sipping on mugs of hot chocolate.  In mid-morning my manservant announced that he had to travel into the concrete jungle to run an errand and suggested Starlight and I accompany him.  Foolishly we forgot to bring our winter jackets as we boarded the Hybridmobile.

We were pleasantly surprised when, after the errand had been successfully performed, the Hybridmobile purred onto my Trace and parked in my log cabin park.  Starlight and I bounded out of the carriage and enjoyed a sniffing circumnavigation of said log cabin.

Without our jackets the cold air soon became uncomfortable and we scurried back to hop in the toasty Hybridmobile.  Starlight and I took our places in front of the fire when we returned to our den while my manservant prepared a tasty lunch of chili and sweet and sour pork.  Yum!

Our plan for the afternoon is to lounge in front of the fire while my manservant occasionally pokes at it, interspersed with short trips to our back yard to check on squirrel activity and bark if necessary.

Sunshine

It's a cold day at my log cabin but the smells are plenteous!

Are these porcupine plants? They hurt!

Of course we're allowed up here. It is called a "dogtrot" Starlight.

Why do the authorities always put the informational signs up so high that I can't read them?
