Pooches, it was quite frigid this morning in our parts and my manservant didn’t even consider going on his walk/run. He looked at the weather prognostication for the day and decided it would be a good day to spend in our den decorating our Christmas tree! Starlight and I cheered and ran gaily upstairs to retrieve our decorations from one of the attics. When the boxes had been carried downstairs my manservant said we were going to take the decorating process in a slow and orderly manner this year in order to have an attractive final result.
Other than the hour spent in my manservant’s yoga class, the tree decorating process has taken all day. My manservant did heat seafood gumbo for our lunch on his return from yoga. Because the temperature outside had only risen to 0ºC by lunchtime all thoughts of our picnic bench were dismissed and we enjoyed a bowl of hearty gumbo on our hearth in front of a cozy fire. We unanimously agreed that we would rather continue with our tree decorating rather than brave the cold temperatures for an excursion and we gathered ’round the tree after lunch.
Pooches, the tree decorating went until late afternoon when my manservant declared himself tired of tree decorating and the decoration boxes were put away for the night until the activity resumes tomorrow.
Stay warm, pooches!
