Pooches, it has been a slow day around our den as Starlight and I awaited the unveiling of our Thanksgiving feast in the evening. My manservant and womanservant left the den early this morning to walk in a 8K called the Turkey Trot! They were back at our den by mid-morning and most of the remainder of the day was spent in the kitchen preparing for the feast.
The only excitement occurred when we watched the national dog show where a Westie won the Best in Breed title!! Starlight and I cheered mightily in the final competition of the day, but sadly, a Greyhound and not a Westie took the Best in Show award.
We did manage to undertake a short excursion through the poochhood in mid-afternoon to perform litter patrol. A hefty amount of litter was collected as we continued to occupy ourselves with ‘busy work’ waiting for the feast to be set before us. Finally, pooches, in late afternoon, my womanservant announced that our feast was ready. Everyone scampered to the dining room before chomping down on smoked turkey, dressing and gravy, green beans and ham, a wee bit of cranberry sauce and strawberry shortcake with whipped cream!
Pooches, my stomach aches!
