Pooches, happy Friday! Fridays are always a wee bit busy around our den and this morning was no different. My manservant departed for his walk/run park early in order to be at our den when the housekeepers arrived. When he returned from his walk/run activity he withdrew the leaf-gathering tool from storage and began the months long process in our yard. A large pile of leaves had been gathered in short order when the housekeepers arrived. Instructions were given and Starlight and I sought safety in our back yard while the vacuums whirred and mops flew. My manservant returned to leaf-gathering.
It was long after the housekeepers had departed that we all headed to the Hybridmobile for an excursion before it was yoga class departure time. The Hybridmobile purred down the lane and had as its destination my overlook. A cold front had passed during the night and there was a stiff northerly breeze coming of the water refreshing our spirits from the uncommonly warm past few days. Plenty of scents were brought in on the northerly breeze and Starlight and I had a grand time sauntering about the waterfront.
Pooches, on our return to our den a splendid event occurred! A section of the carriageway that is a main artery for most of our excursions has been closed for rebuilding for a couple of months. As we headed to my overlook we noticed that it appeared about ready to reopen. As we pulled to the intersection on our return to our den, kindly gentlemen flagged us to a stop for all traffic. Barriers were then removed and the road was open. We were waved through! Starlight and I thought the Hybridmobile was going to explode. It began proudly bleating its horn as it became the first carriage to travel the newly opened road. Starlight and I rolled down our windows and began waving at all the onlookers and the Hybridmobile continue bleating its horn excitedly!
What a day for the Hybridmobile to remember!
Pooches, we’re headed on a road trip to Elvistown tomorrow! Perhaps I’ll see you from there on Silent Saturday.
