Pooches, we had our regular Monday duties facing us this morning when we awoke but my manservant vowed to change things up a bit. He left for his walk/run in the dark (which is not unusual for this time of year) but he returned to our den also in the dark after his walk/run had been completed! Starlight and I rolled over to return to our snoozing but my manservant declared that it was time for an excursion! In the dark!
We made our way to the Hybridmobile and it groggily headed us in the direction of my old school park. Pooches, it seems there was method behind my manservant’s madness! He said he wanted to watch the sunrise at my Rez. When we hopped out of the Hybridmobile at my park it was still rather dark. We made our way down to the waterfront and awaited sunrise.
It was a quite the spectacular sunrise when it finally occurred and I complemented my manservant on his clever idea! Because we were already at my school park, Starlight and I decided we would take advantage of the opportunity and conduct a bit of sniffing along the shoreline. The sun had risen high in the sky by the time we returned to our den. Thought was given to returning to nap in the bed but my manservant all already removed the bed linens in advance of his Monday wash day duties.
Monday is also yoga day and my manservant dutifully attended his yoga class. A stop by the market on his return yielded the produce for tonight’s meal. He immediately headed to the kitchen when he returned and began preparation for today’s lunch. Avoiding the routine, he was quite busy with his pots and pans and eventually unveiled at fine serving of spinach and cheese stuffed ravioli. I grabbed a few pooch treats as we headed out of the door and a fine lunch was had by all.
Having been up before dawn, Starlight and I are preparing for heavy-duty afternoon naps so we will be ready for tonight’s wee, spooky visitors as we bark fiercely at each knock at the door. My manservant is beginning a vigorous afternoon of housekeeping duty activity before we all gather to carve the front porch jack-o-lantern for tonight’s activities!
