Pooches, this morning Cousin Maggie reported that she had a fun time with all of our activities yesterday! I promised her another fun-filled day today and gave my manservant ‘the look’ to make sure he wasn’t planning any cockeyed scheme to declare today a cocooning day or something of the sort. He didn’t indicate any such foolishness and I breathed a sigh of relief.
When my manservant returned from his morning walk/run he reminded us today was yoga class day and that an early excursion would be in order. Starlight and I ushered Cousin Maggie to the Hybridmobile and made sure she was buckled in properly. The Hybridmobile was soon cheerfully puttering down the lane in the direction of my old school park. We arrived and headed toward the waterfront.
Pooches, good news! The authorities are constructing a new playground for me at my old school park! It is quite thoughtful of them and I must remember to send them a thank you note when it has been completed.
The three of us pooches enjoyed much sniffing along the waterfront while occasionally barking at geese. Our good time eventually came to an end as time for my manservant’s yoga class grew nearer.
When my manservant returned from yoga he carried with him chicken wings for us for lunch to continue our celebration of Cousin Maggie’s visit (he also had a take away box of chicken noodle soup for himself). I upped the level of celebration by spreading our picnic tablecloth on the ground in our backyard. It wasn’t long before lunch was presented picnic style. The chicken wings disappeared in short order. My manservant is still slurping on his chicken noodle soup!
See you tomorrow on Silent Saturday, pooches!
