Pooches, shortly after my manservant returned from his abbreviated walk/run this morning, Cousin Maggie arrived for a visit until Saturday! Starlight and I have already planned an agenda for her time with us, and after exchanging pleasantries, we started off with a celebratory brunch at our picnic bench. My manservant had cooked a tasty bowl of egg and hash browns with pooch treats on the side. Starlight and Cousin Maggie stuck to the pooch treats but I must admit that I nibbled on quite a few of the hash browns as well! Yum.
After the festivities ended and the brunch dishes were washed, dried, and carefully put away, we all bounded out to the Hybridmobile to undertake an early excursion (my manservant explained there was a Scandinavian cooking show coming on the telly that he wanted to watch that would be on at the same time as our usual excursions). Our plan for today’s non-picnic excursion was a visit to my Saturday park on the opposite side of my Rez in order for Cousin Maggie to have a good chance to see ‘gators! When the Hybridmobile pulled into the parking slot selected, it bleated its horn excitedly as a full-sized ‘gator was lazily swimming just offshore. We quickly hopped our of the Hybridmobile and headed to the shoreline but the ‘gator had submerged and never reappeared. I’m afraid the bleating horn scared it away.
A fun time was had, nevertheless, as we strolled the length of the shoreline in my park before returning to the Hybridmobile. When we arrived at our den all thoughts of lunch were dismissed because of our late brunch and we immediately headed to our respective nap areas for an early start on afternoon naps. We need to be well-rested because our agenda for entertaining Cousin Maggie for the next couple of days is full!
