Pooches, I’m still shaking thinking about it.
When my manservant returned from his morning walk/run this morning, he said that he wasn’t much in the mood for our regular excursion today and suggested that we substitute it with a patrol through the poochhood. Starlight and I, always ones to be attentive to the needs of others, gave our approval and we immediately departed down the lane. Our patrol was without incident and we enjoyed the fine fall temperature and blue skies with a slight breeze.
Disaster struck poor Starlight as soon as we returned to our den. After letting me inside, my manservant picked up Starlight and placed her in the backseat of the Hybridmobile alone. Pooches, we all knew what that meant. VET VISIT!!!!!! Starlight fought valiantly trying to escape but to no avail. I tensely awaited their return.
It was two hours later when my manservant and Starlight returned. Starlight came inside and stomped around our den grumbling and slamming doors behind her. I don’t think she was very happy!
Lunch was soon prepared and my manservant coaxed Starlight out to our picnic bench with pooch treats (she certainly couldn’t be coaxed with my manservant’s lunch of potato and tofu chowder).
Starlight has indicated she plans on napping all afternoon. The slamming of doors has dropped off considerably and I believe she has settled in her crate for the afternoon.
