Lazy pooches!

My manservant went on his usual walk/run this morning before returning and announcing that, although he would like to have a cocooning day, he was headed to our library to spend the day on preparatory activities for his academic responsibilities this weekend and that there would be no excursion.  Pooches, Starlight and I were thrilled!  We had both decided earlier that we needed a day of cocooning but didn’t say anything because we didn’t want to disappoint my manservant.  While my manservant headed to the library, Starlight and I headed to the Davenport to begin our day.

My manservant emerged from our library only twice.  In late morning, he headed to the market to obtain dinner supplies.  When he returned we headed to our picnic bench for a lunch of a quinoa-stuffed pepper (for my manservant) and rib eye of boeuf for Starlight and me.

In mid-afternoon he emerged and announced that he was hungry and began cooking buffalo wings!  Woo hoo!  We munched hungrily on them until my manservant suggested that we ride with him to go pick up our weekly fall produce box from the kindly farmer in the adjoining village.  Starlight and I declined, preferring instead to continue our cocooning on the Davenport!

Sunshine

The cocooning festival begins!

The cocooning festival begins!

Sunshine, I think I've found the most comfortable position for cocooning.

I'm waiting for you to pass the pieces of boeuf.

You can have the quinoa thing.  I’m waiting for you to pass the pieces of boeuf.
