Day of lethargy with an excursion

Pooches, we had a den full of company over the long holiday weekend.  Fred and Buttons were among our visitors!  Starlight and I were quite busy entertaining them until they returned to Elvistown yesterday afternoon.  We decided last evening that we would need a day of rest today and no excursion was planned.

This morning after my manservant returned from his walk/run, he suggested that we dine with our breakfast at our picnic bench and follow it with a short excursion to the forest by my Indian mound.  Starlight had to be coaxed to join us but was convinced when my manservant withdrew a couple of pooch treats for breakfast.

After a quick breakfast we hopped in the Hybridmobile which purred down the lane toward my Trace.  When we arrived at my Indian mound park we immediately headed to the trail that leads into the dark forest.  Smells were abundant and we spent much energy sniffing along the way.  Our walk took us much further than we have traveled before and to my horror we came upon a place in my forest where the forest had been removed by trespassing vandals!  I plan to notify the authorities and request that they immediately investigate the crime so those responsible can be prosecuted!

Pooches, our lethargy must be contagious because after returning to our den this morning following our excursion even my manservant has elected to do nothing!

See you tomorrow on Wordless Wednesday, pooches!

We'll eat our pooch treats before we have any biscuits with fig preserves.

This is my smell, Starlight. You go find your own.

We are entering the spooky section of forest that is covered in Spanish moss.

Gadzooks!! Someone stole a section of my forest. I need to call the authorities right away!

It's always peaceful to relax at the edge of the Rez.

Aren't you going back with us?
