Solitary excursion

Pooches, my manservant headed to his walk/run park as usual this morning and spent some time working on his outside chores after he returned before he had to travel to the nearby concrete jungle for yet another visit to his skin vet.  The timing of his vet visit conflicted with his Friday yoga class and he didn’t return to our den until yoga class was completed.

In a surprise turn of events, my womanservant appeared at our den in the middle of the day!  I learned that she and Starlight were spending the weekend in a distant village showing off Starlight’s rally trial skills.  My manservant and I bade farewell to them as they departed in the Hybridmobile II, wishing Starlight good luck.  After they were gone I looked at my manservant and he looked at me.  “Excursion?” I asked.  He didn’t need to reply because a loud clap of thunder roared.  We went in our den without delay.

For a while the weather kept the same cycle:  thunder, heavy downpour of rain, clearing and steamy, and then repeating the cycle again.  My manservant finally said he had to fetch medicine across town and suggested that I accompany him.  Pooches, our medicine retrieval business was quite complicated and took us nearly two hours.  When the errand had been completed we found ourselves near my spillway at my Rez and we took advantage of the momentary SUNSHINE to stop at one of my wee parks in the corner of my Rez.

We’re back at our den now awaiting the next round of rain, pooches.  See you on Silent Saturday.

Sunshine

It feels strange to be going on an excursion without Starlight.

You know I don't like these things!

Was that thunder?

Was that thunder?

It looks like it is raining hard at our den.

We're headed in the wrong direction. The blue sky is the other way.
