Brief excursion on a lazy day

Pooches, when we awoke this morning we could hear the pitter pattering of rain on the roof.  My manservant, Starlight, and I all groaned and rolled over while pulling up the blankets.  It was well after my manservant normally has returned from his walk/run before we decided to get out of bed.  As we sat on the Davenport sipping freshly brewed coffee we knew that it was going to be a lazy day.

When the rain temporarily paused in mid-morning, my manservant undertook his morning walk/run and then returned to enjoy a lazy day.  Because the break in the rain continued, we decided an early excursion was in order.  We headed to my school park, hoping that there would be a breeze coming off the water to ease the humidity.  Luck was with us and the hoped-for breeze was there.  As predicted, the breeze made the sauna-like day considerably more comfortable which allowed us to stroll about the waterfront for longer than originally planned.  After a while, the skies darkened and distant thunder was heard and we scurried back to the Hybridmobile to resume our lazy day in our den.

See you tomorrow on Silent Saturday, pooches!

Starlight, we'd better get in a couple of more scents before the rain moves in.
