A brief back yard excursion.

Pooches, Starlight and I bade Cousin Maggie farewell Saturday afternoon as she departed and returned to her den after her extended visit with us.  We had a grand time while she was here but we were quite tired and decided this morning to spend the day recovering from her visit and avoiding the heat.

When my manservant returned from his walk/run park this morning he headed to the patio where he said he was going to undertake a cleaning project.  After an hour of work he came inside complaining about the rapidly rising temperature and opted to take a cold shower.  Starlight and I quickly returned to our morning naps when he headed to his Monday yoga class.

When lunchtime rolled around we all agreed that we preferred to dine inside today instead of our customary picnic bench because of the heat.  My manservant disappeared into the kitchen and, after half an hour, we could be found on the Davenport enjoying pigs-in-a-blanket, a rare treat!   My manservant said that instead of troubling the Hybridmobile for our excursion we could have our excursion in a back yard.  Pooches, Starlight and I spent only a short time outside because of the heat.  It was an uneventful excursion although Starlight did have a frightful encounter with a Galia melon.

Pooches, it is going to be nap time for the remainder of the afternoon.
