Excursions resume

Pooches, after an excursion-less week so far, I had a word with my manservant this morning and told him that his excuse of ‘being under the weather’ no longer held water and demanded an excursion today.  He promised that we would go on one today but he had to conduct lawn manicuring right away before the onset of the heat.  It was mid-morning before the lawn was properly manicured and my manservant immediately proceeded to go to his walk/run park to undertake his walk/run.

Starlight and I thought we would go on our excursion when he returned but my manservant said he was headed to his fish monger to obtain tonight’s dinner and to the market for pantry supplies.  We waited patiently for his return and, to our surprise, he brought with him a roast boeuf po’ boy for lunch.  Woo hoo!  We paraded outside to the picnic bench (which had been relocated during the manicuring process this morning) and enjoyed the spontaneous picnic.

After dishes had been washed, dried, and put away we finally headed to the Hybridmobile which carried us efficiently to my school park for our excursion.  Pooches, it was a grand day there with bright blue skies and puffy white clouds.  We had the park pretty much to ourselves and enjoyed bounding about the waterfront.  There were plenty of scents available and by the time we ended our excursion our noses were fairly sore from overuse!

We’re back at our den now and Starlight has headed for her afternoon nap.  I, pooches, will slave in the kitchen this afternoon canning fig preserves.

It's been a while since we came to my school park.

I'm glad the authorities have been keeping my grass cut.
