Pooches, the weather gods have been merciful today and after last night’s generous rain the temperatures have been much cooler today. My manservant hit his walk/run park early again this morning and enjoyed an energetic walk/run. When he returned to our den he began preparing a hearty breakfast of ham, fresh tomato, strawberries and a cackleberry before heading out to the picnic bench to dine. After enjoying our breakfast my manservant suggested another early excursion, not to avoid the heat of the day but because he planned to spend much of the late morning and afternoon in our library on a writing project. Starlight and I quickly scurried to the Hybridmobile eager to have an excursion in comfortable temperatures for a change.
The Hybridmobile taxied us to my school park where we enjoyed overcast skies and an almost coolish breeze coming off of the water. We hiked down to the waterfront and enjoyed visiting with the large gaggle of geese gathered on the seawall. We had my school park mostly to ourselves and much time was devoted to sniffing the new scents left after last night’s rain.
Much of the remainder of the morning was spent performing chores around our den and visiting to market to stock our pantry. Lunch was soon upon us and the fresh tomatoes occupying our kitchen counter beckoned us to prepare a BLT to accompany the leftover pumpkin, coconut and rum soup which we enjoyed sitting on our Davenport.
Pooches, my manservant has retired to our library to write and Starlight and I are about to assume our napping positions for the afternoon.
See you tomorrow on Wordless Wednesday.
