Non-excursion turned celebration!

Pooches, it was obvious that my manservant was not going to stick to our routine today when we awoke this morning.  Once again he declined to go on his walk/run and instead brewed a bit of espresso and lounged about in our library.  In mid-morning he finally emerged and said he had several errands to run and departed in the Hybridmobile.  Pooches, he was absent for far too long.  Excursion-time came and went and still no manservant!

Finally, in early afternoon, we heard the Hybridmobile glide in our drive and Starlight and I rushed outside to chide my manservant about missing our excursion.  He stammered and explained that his errand running had taken much longer than he thought it would and he had to interrupt their completion by heading to his yoga class.  It was only after yoga class had been completed that he was able to complete said errands.  I was about to chide him severely when he pulled out a new bag of pooch treats and two new pooch ball toys saying our pooch food store was one of those errands.

Immediately all was forgiven!  He still had a surprise in store for us.  He headed to the kitchen and the boiling began.  It wasn’t long before we were all gathered at our picnic bench for an old-fashioned crawfish boil!!  Woo hoo!!

After the activities were completed Starlight and I came inside to cool our burning lips while my manservant handled the post-crawfish boil cleaning activities.  I’m sure Starlight and I will have a fine afternoon of napping with thoughts of the special celebration in our dreams.

See you tomorrow on Silent Saturday pooches.  Our den is quite excited because Fred and Buttons will be coming from Elvistown to spend a week with us.  Hooray!

Why are you starting us off with a piece of potato? Bring on the sausage and crawfish tails!
