Brunch excursion

Hello pooches!  Starlight has recovered from her busy weekend and we spent some time this morning discussing the possible destination for a proper excursion today.  My manservant headed to his walk/run park but returned after only a few minutes saying the weather was much chillier than he though and he had worn his summer walk/run costume.  Instead of changing into a more suitable walk/run costume, he sat at our computer and began searching for recipes to use for this week’s locally farmed produce box which arrives later today.

After the recipes for our meals for the next few days had been determined, my manservant suggested that we take our excursion earlier than usual because he had many tasks to accomplish during the day.  Starlight and I were more than happy to undertake an early excursion and we properly belted ourselves in the back seat of the Hybridmobile which took us on a brief tour through my overlook parking lot before depositing us at my sunken Trace park.

Pooches, the smells were abundant this morning evidencing numerous visits by nocturnal creatures last night.  Because we didn’t have far to stroll, my manservant gave us free rein to stop and sniff as needed!  Quite the good time was had by all before we finally felt our appetites increasing at the prospect of an early lunch at our picnic bench.

A stop at the market was made and after we returned to our den and our lunch was baked and grilled, we paraded out to the picnic bench to enjoy grilled corn on the cob and lobster macaroni cheese.  Woo hoo!

My manservant is now in the kitchen doing preliminary sous chef duties before heading out later to pick up our box of produce.  Pooches, being so early in the season we are eating a lot of leafy green things these days.  Oh for a piece of boeuf!

Sunshine

Starlight stares nervously at the dark woods.

Hearing strange sounds, Starlight stares intently at the dark woods.

This is always my favorite section of this path because of the numerous scents left by the nocturnal visitors.

I'm glad the authorities responded quickly to my request to trim the tall grass in my parks.

Are you sure corn on the cob goes well with lobster macaroni cheese?
