Pooches, when my manservant returned to our den from his morning walk/run he stayed in the back yard where he remained all morning conducting his gardening duties. He finally came inside and donned his yoga costume before heading to his yoga class. It wasn’t long before he returned to the den quite dejected saying his yoga class had been cancelled to observe the archaic holiday today.
In an effort to cheer him, I suggested that when we went on an excursion after lunch we should stop by the market and obtain supplies needed to prepare seafood gumbo for tonight’s fare. Pooches, my efforts were successful and, with thoughts of spending the afternoon cooking seafood gumbo, my manservant cheerfully withdrew leftover boeuf tenderloin, potato and kohlrabi/apple salad from the icebox. When the coals were at their peak we paraded outdoors to the picnic bench and sat around while the boeuf and potato were grilled to perfection.
With full bellies we headed to the Hybridmobile for our excursion and visit to the market. It was quite a beautiful day at my overlook. Starlight and I bounded to and fro and the smells were plentiful! My manservant preferred to stay in the shady areas because his sun-repelling hat was left in the washer at our den but we managed to coax him out in the SUNSHINE from time to time. We stopped by the market where shrimp, crab and sausage were obtained for soon-to-be gumbo.
We’ll be napping this afternoon sleeping off our tasty lunch as we listen to the sounds emitted from the kitchen of my manservant cheerily preparing the seafood gumbo for tonight.
What a grand day, pooches!
