Pooches, the last legitimate excursion we enjoyed was a week ago! When my manservant returned from his early morning walk/run and announced that today was going to be a day of reading, Starlight and I put our feet down and DEMANDED that we go on an excursion today. I think my manservant was taken aback but he promised that we would undertake one at our regular time.
While my manservant read wile snug on the Davenport, Starlight and I recounted to each other the horrible day we had yesterday. Pooches, we started off in the morning with thunderstorms which kept me busy calming Starlight and my manservant. When the thunder finally died down, Starlight and I were presented the responsibility of barking at a gaggle of electricians that had arrived to work on an electrical issue at our den.
After an hour or so the electricians resolved the issue and departed about the same time as the arrival of the next wave of thunderstorms which dumped torrential rain the remainder of the day into the night!
Today has been much calmer and my manservant finally reached a stopping point in his reading and suggested we undertake our excursion. Starlight and I bounded to the Hybridmobile which was quite happy that we were resuming our excursions. It purred happily down the carriageway and onto my Trace in the direction of my overlook.
The overlook was indeed our destination. An immediate inspection was carried out to check my park for any damage inflicted by yesterday’s storms (I’m happy to report there was none, pooches) followed by extensive strolling to locate any smells not washed away by the heavy rain. We finally grew hungry for lunch and hurried back to our den to await my manservant’s preparation of pizza. Woo hoo! Our soggy back yard was shunned and we munched away on said pizza at my manservant’s reading spot for the day.
All in all a much better day than yesterday!
