Pooches, I felt it in my bones this morning when my manservant returned from his walk/run park and immediately headed outside and begin to work in the yard. He was there until it was time for yoga class and headed back outside when he returned from yoga. It was then that I told Starlight our excursion was probably going to be confined to our back yard. I was right.
My manservant finally grew hungry and said because my womanservant was out-of-town we could cook anything we wanted for lunch without having to worry about covering up the evidence. We conferred for a wee bit before the unanimous decision was made to grill hamburgers. Woo hoo! A charcoal fire was prepared and when the embers were just right boeuf patties were formed and placed on the grill. Pooches, the smell of the cooking burgers made our mouths water as we anxiously awaited them to be ready for eating.
Yum! We scarfed them down at our picnic bench and followed them with a wee bit of lemon gelato for dessert. When we were finished my manservant headed to finish his gardening and, in the spirit of the day, I took over planting parsley and chervil in the herb garden while my manservant completed his work in the front yard.
Pooches, it is a cool spring day with bright blue skies and gentle breezes. Starlight and I plan to undertake our afternoon naps in the back yard the shade of the red oak.
See you tomorrow on Silent Saturday!
