A busy day in our back yard

Pooches, we were all quite lazy this morning and didn’t start moving about until mid-morning.   My manservant once again declined to go on his walk/run but he said he was going to do his walk/run behind the lawn manicuring machine.  Starlight and I opted to stay inside while he ventured out in the still frosty yard and began his gardening duties.

He finally came inside at lunchtime and prepared a bowl of chicken tortilla soup (sans the tortilla) and broiled another batch of pita mozz (to substitute for the missing tortillas).  He then declared that our excursion was going to be in the back yard because he had worked so hard on it this morning we might as well enjoy it.  Starlight and I didn’t think much of his idea but we held our comments to ourselves.

The big news of the day is that our picnic bench was moved from its fall/winter location to its spring/summer location where it can take advantage of the shade from the grand southern red oak in our back yard.   Starlight says she is going to have a hard time adjusting to the different route of our parade to the bench every day at lunch.

After we enjoyed lunch we strolled around the back yard a bit inspecting my manservant’s morning of work.  All in all it has been a rather dull day.

Our Snowdrops have put on quite a show this spring but I'm afraid this is their last hurrah.

Your newly manicured yard looks quite nice.

We're tired of posing. It is time for our afternoon naps.

It is so nice outside I think I'll take my afternoon nap under this window.
