My manservant ruled against a walk/run this morning and, instead, opted to plop down in his favorite reading chair for a day of reading. Starlight and I joined him and enjoyed our morning naps in his favorite reading chair as well. It was a wee bit crowded.
Sometime around the middle of the morning my manservant retrieved our cast iron skillet from the pantry and cooked a huge bowl of tasty popcorn. We enjoy munching popcorn for quite a while until the bowl only contained a few kernels that had failed to pop. We were pleasantly full and none of us had much enthusiasm for lunch or an excursion. Nevertheless, my manservant finally suggested that because it was such a beautiful day we should take a short excursion when he had to run to the market to acquire items for tonight’s dining experience.
We relented and headed to the Hybridmobile which, in turn, headed to the market after boarding was complete. The necessary supplies were acquired and the Hybridmobile decided a visit to my log cabin park was in order.
Pooches, my manservant’s prediction yesterday that my parks would be dried out enough today was correct. What he failed to predict is that they would be covered pollen! There is a fine yellow dust covering everything and my log cabin park was no exception. After strolling a bit around the park, stirring up a yellow cloud of dust the entire time, Starlight insisted that we return to the den because her fur was becoming yellow.
The Hybridmobile, turning yellow as well, ferried us briskly down the lane in an effort to blow off the pollen. From the looks of the Hybridmobile after we arrived at our den the effort was quite unsuccessful!
