Excursions resume

Pooches, after the deluge of rain over the weekend we have finally returned to plenty of SUNSHINE!  My manservant left early this morning to run an errand in the not-so-nearby-village and stopped by his walk/run park on his return to undertake his walk/run.  When he returned to our den he suggested a breakfast excursion.  That sounded suspicious to me and when I questioned him he said that following his yoga class he planned to occupy the Davenport for the remainder of the day to read and rest his hip which has been fractious for the past few days.

Starlight and I thought that was reasonable so we hurried to the Hybridmobile and awaited my manservant to put together a breakfast picnic.  That task was accomplished rather quickly and we were soon gliding in the Hybridmobile down the carriageway toward my boundary park.

When we arrived I quickly selected a picnic table for our morning feast.  Unfortunately, my manservant had failed to pack our tablecloth.  Not being allowed to sit on top of the picnic table without our tablecloth, Starlight and I had to eat our breakfast of blueberry scones, hot Moroccan mint green tea, and pooch treats (Starlight and I were partial to the latter) from the ground using the bench as our dish!

Soggy conditions limited our after-picnic strolling activity and we finally resigned ourselves to one more day of a limited excursion.  My manservant said that by tomorrow all parks should have dried out sufficiently to resume our normal activity.  We can’t wait.

Sunshine

I get to choose the table today and this is the one I want.

You've got our table set nicely but where's the tablecloth?

Unable to sit on the table we have to eat our pooch treats from the opposite bench. Phooey.

Sunshine, there's more wildflowers than you can shake a stick at!
