“Rain, rain, our den is thy name.” Pooches, apologies to Michael Frome, but how much rain should one have to endure? Our den has had over 175mm of rain since yesterday afternoon and we think it is time to stop!
It couldn’t have come at a worse time, with Cousin Maggie here and all. We were hoping to take her to a number of my parks for excursions but the relentless rain cancelled them all. We awoke this morning to relentless rain and flooding all around. My manservant took a trip in the reluctant Hybridmobile to his walk/run park but it was still underwater. We haven’t dismissed the idea of building an ark yet but it seems to have lightened up a wee bit this afternoon and we’re keeping that project on hold.
Shortly after my manservant returned from his yoga class Cousin Maggie returned to her den and we bade her farewell as the temporary respite from the rain ended. Pooches, we have had over 175mm of the wet stuff since yesterday afternoon. Needless to say our short journey to our back yard to take care of business after supper tonight during first dark was short-lived. Nevertheless, my manservant documented the trip with his camera, providing two days of photographs that look like they were taken with a Polaroid!
Tomorrow, pooches, perhaps tomorrow we will start drying out. Whether we do or not, I will see you on Silent Saturday!
