Flooding excursion.

Pooches, it is Thursday so this morning was my manservant’s academic pursuit day.  He rushed off to his alma mater without undertaking a walk/run.  Starlight and I could see the bright SUNSHINE outside and we planned today’s excursion between naps.

When my manservant returned to our den from his academic pursuit he headed to the kitchen to prepare our lunch.  Starlight and I protested when he brought out red beans and rice (pooches, we’ve had them for three straight days now) and he solaced us by giving us all of his sausage!  Woo hoo!

We discussed our excursion plans but he vetoed them saying that while the temperature outside was only chilly, the strong wind out of the north made it nearly unbearable.  I suggested that the Hybridmobile would know where to go and we hopped in the Hybridmobile when we finished eating.

The Hybridmobile was indeed clever!  After hearing our dilemma it shivered while gliding down the lane and onto the carriageway.  It turned out our destination was my spillway park because, the Hybridmobile reasoned, the spillway was on the north end of my spillway park and it would block the wind coming out of the north!  Brilliant!

We arrived at said park to find that the wee river that runs below my spillway had turned into a raging giant from the heavy rains of two days ago.  The road to my first park was closed and under water!  My second park is higher but the water is threatening the picnic tables and has covered my trail through the forest.

Undeterred, Starlight and I had a grand time sniffing the smells that weren’t underwater.  Eventually, feeling a need for afternoon naps, we returned to our den.

Sunshine

No. Starlight, it isn't ice. It is foam caused by the water pouring over my spillway.

I guess we can't stroll down my path through the forest but we could swim.

I hope all of the seagulls haven't been bothering the Hybridmobile while we were gone!

I those seagulls haven’t been bothering the Hybridmobile while we were gone!

Goodbye Spillway.

Goodbye Spillway.
