Pooches, we awoke this morning to a cold rain. The only thing that has changed as of this afternoon is that it has turned colder. The rain has been with us all day and doesn’t seemed to be inclined to let up.
I hope all of you pooches had a fine Burns Night supper last night! Our pack reveled late into the evening. The haggis was not missed because the Cock-a-Leekie soup and tatties and neeps were a big hit! Because we had no haggis, the tatties and neeps were chosen to be brought out accompanied by a piper (after my manservant found the appropriate recording on his tablet).
The highlight of the evening was Starlight’s recitation of To a Louse: On Seeing One On A Lady’s Bonnet, At Church. My manservant, womanservant, and I howled with glee as she delivered a dramatic rendition of said poem!
Last night was filled with mirth and merriment and much fun was had by all. After the cold and dreary day we’ve had today I am tempted to suggest we repeat yesterday’s celebration tonight!
