Pooches, today is January 25 so it is time for our annual Burns Night supper! Woo hoo! Our pack has been giddy with excitement through the day.
My manservant hurried to complete his walk/run this morning at his walk/run park in order to make it to an appointment with his teeth vet. The visit was a short one and he returned in plenty of time for us to discuss our meal for this evening’s celebration. After all the planning had been completed our menu consists of Cock-a-Leekie Soup with neeps and tatties (and, of course, a bit of whiskey to wash it down). I had requested that Haggis be added to our menu but my manservant said he doubted the markets in our village offered the ingredients needed.
By late morning my manservant had attended his yoga class and we hopped in the Hybridmobile to retrieve Starlight from her groomer where she spent the morning. Because her groomer is in the vicinity of my Saturday park we took advantage of that on our return to our den and stopped by my Saturday park for a lengthy stroll along the shoreline.
Much of our afternoon will be spent in the kitchen as we busily cook for tonight’s party. Starlight has begged off helping with the cooking because she wants to practice reciting Robert Burns poems all afternoon to ensure a smooth performance tonight!
