Pooches, the fog was like pea soup in these parts this morning. My manservant headed to his walk/run park before sunrise. Starlight and I were concerned that he might lose his way in the thick fog but the worry was needless because he returned to our den at the appointed time.
He said his intention was to plop down in his favorite chair and spend the day reading some of the many tomes he has recently acquired. As such, he suggested an early morning excursion so that when he started reading there would be no interruption. Starlight and I jumped at the chance and we headed out to the Hybridmobile.
Our excursion carried us through the fog (with the Hybridmobile frequently sounding its foghorn) to my overlook. Once again we had it to ourselves but my manservant said he was in the mood for a hike today and that the overlook was not suitable for such activity. The Hybridmobile then took us to my boundary park, the site of a fine trail.
For about an hour we hiked through the foggy forest. Pooches, strange scents were all about and both Starlight and I sensed that there was danger lurking in the forest but all ended well with no incidents.
My manservant finally began his reading until I reminded him of several errands that needed to be done today. He grumbled but headed back to the Hybridmobile to carry out his duties. When he finally returned to our den he had a surprise in store for us. It seems that on his return from the pooch food market (where he had obtained pooch food and a toy squirrel), he had stopped at my Mardi Gras restaurant and obtained gumbo and crab claws! Woo hoo!
Our pack immediately marched to our picnic bench for a delightful seafood meal all washed down with a Barq’s!
Starlight and I missed our morning naps, pooches, so we will nap overtime this afternoon. See you tomorrow on Silent Saturday!
