Pooches, it has been a rather routine day around our den. My manservant finally resumed his walk/run today although I think it was a rather wee one judging from the short time he was gone. He had plans to hibernate in our library all day in preparation for his academic responsibilities this weekend but the leaves in the back yard called his name when he returned and most of the morning was spent raking leaves and burning limbs.
He suggested that we undertake our excursion a bit earlier than usual and then return and enjoy leftover seafood gumbo from last night’s feast. Pooches, that seafood gumbo is the best seafood gumbo ever made!! Starlight and I were in agreement with his plan and headed out to the Hybridmobile. As the Hybridmobile purred down the lane toward my Saturday park, a stop was made at an establishment where my manservant procured nachos with chili and cheese! Woo hoo! He said we should consider it an appetizer before our gumbo meal.
Once at my Saturday park we hopped in the Hybridmobile’s boot and enjoyed the nachos, although my manservant suggested that they were a bit stale. When the appetizer was behind us, an uneventful stroll along the waterfront was made. The gumbo that awaited us was on everyone’s mind and we soon hurried back to the Hybridmobile with our mouths watering!
The gumbo has been consumed and my manservant has headed to our library for an afternoon of academic preparation. Starlight and I will be, of course, headed for afternoon naps. My womanservant has departed in the Hybridmobile II for an evening in the Big Easy, leaving me to care for Starlight and my manservant. My work never ends!
