Pooches, in a reversal of roles Starlight and I, instead of my manservant, proclaimed today to be a day of rest and recovery! Fred and Buttons traveled back to Elvistown yesterday afternoon and we always need a bit of extra rest after their visits.
My manservant shrugged his shoulders and went about his usual business: a walk/run in his walk/run park and an errand-carrying-out trip around our village, followed later in the morning by his Monday morning yoga class. Starlight and I woke up when he returned from yoga (we knew lunch would be prepared). He said he was thinking about cooking a batch of haggis since it is St. Andrew’s Day but decided heating up roasted chicken with dressing and turkey gravy was easier! Lunch was soon plated and we headed out to our picnic bench to enjoy the meal. Starlight asked my manservant to take care and not let any of his cranberry sauce or green olives touch the corner of the plate containing her share.
My manservant finally convinced Starlight and me to go with him on a short excursion to my school park. We relented and accompanied him. After a short stroll I told him it was time to head back to our den for more rest and recovery.
