Pooches, my manservant was a wee bit sore this morning after yesterday’s abs workout and he declined to engage in his morning walk/run activity. After soaking in a hot bath with bath salts, he announced that he was heading to a not-so-nearby village to pick up frozen turkeys and deliver them to the soup kitchen located in the concrete jungle. The Hybridmobile confidently purred down the lane willing and ready to take on lorry duties.
It was two hours later when my manservant and the Hybridmobile returned. It was apparent the Hybridmobile was not going to participate in an excursion today because, after having hauled 140 kilograms of frozen turkeys, it claimed its boot was sore and still frozen! Apparently their mission had been successful but the Hybridmobile was paying the price!
Lunchtime arrived and my manservant said he had been thinking about tacos all morning (not sure why since he’d been up to his ears in turkeys all morning) and suggested that they would make a fine picnic lunch in our back yard. We were all in agreement (although Buttons said she had been thinking about “bangers” all morning) and the tacos were prepared. Instead of using the picnic bench, we spread the tablecloth on the ground and ate tacos to our heart’s content!
In the absence of a stroll we enjoyed chasing sticks and toys around the yard after lunch. It is time for afternoon naps now, pooches!
