Pooches, my manservant suggested that we take an early excursion when he returned from an abbreviated walk/run this morning. Starlight and I are always game for an excursion anytime and we headed to the Hybridmobile. My school park was the chosen destination and we hopped out of the Hybridmobile in the crisp morning air and spied banks of fog scattered around my Rez. We immediately headed to the waterfront for a long stroll in hopes that one of the fog banks would head our way.
A bit of excitement occurred when a feckless cat suddenly appeared near us and was clearly up to no good, heading toward us in a threatening manner. I immediately jumped in front of Starlight and my manservant to protect them from the hoodlum. It quickly realized I would not tolerate any foolishness and it ran lickity split across my park and disappeared into the woods. The remainder of our first excursion was uneventful and we returned to our den with plenty of time for us to resume our morning naps.
Our second excursion came in late morning when my manservant announced that he was heading to the new fish monger that recently opened in our village to obtain snapper for tonight’s fare. We reloaded the Hybridmobile and enjoyed a pleasant ride down the lane to the nearby fish monger. After introductions were made my manservant conducted a successful transaction and we returned to our den with fish in hand (actually in a bag).
By the time we returned to our den we were all quite hungry and in a short amount of time my manservant had prepared turnip greens, black-eyed peas, and a bit of smother boeuf. Starlight and I designation responsibility for the greens and peas to my manservant while we took over responsibility for the smothered boeuf. Yum!
