Pooches, this morning’s weather forecast for today didn’t look good. Rain and storms were prognosticated for the afternoon and evening. My manservant scurried to his walk/run park before returning to begin another round of leaf gathering. That attempt lasted only a minute because the gusty winds would scatter each pile he gathered. Putting leaf rake away, he then turned his attention to cleaning leaves out of the rain gutter on our den.
He was soon inside declaring that today must have been meant to be a cocooning day. Thus, we began cocooning. It was late morning when he suggested an early excursion followed by a “special” lunch on our picnic bench. The Hybridmobile was glad to be leaving early because it just had a bath yesterday and didn’t want to get dirty on rainy roadways.
My school park was our destination for our excursion. What an excursion it was! The wind coming off the water of my Rez was fierce and turned my normally placid Rez into a frothy, angry body of water. We excitedly headed to the shoreline to witness the sight and quickly realized that we were targets for the waves coming onshore. After a wee bit dodging crashing waves, we decided discretion would be the better park of valor and hastily retreated to the safety of the Hybridmobile, anxious to see the “special” lunch my manservant promised.
Pooches, it was steamed KING CRAB claws! Hooray! We had a grand time eating them after dipping them in drawn butter. Our afternoon of cocooning will be enhanced by our full bellies!
