Grand excursion as promised!

Pooches, excitement was in the air this morning at our den!  Starlight and I were excited about  our promised “grand excursion” today and had trouble sleeping during morning nap time because visions of possible grand excursions danced in our heads.  The excitement intensified when we saw my manservant withdraw our tick collars from the drawer!  That meant only one thing:  a trek through the forest!!!  Woo hoo!

As excursion time drew near, my manservant packed leftover ribs and coleslaw into the picnic hamper (complete with tablecloth), fastened our tick collars around our necks, and a boisterous scampering our pack to the Hybridmobile followed.

Pooches, our destination was not one but TWO of my parks!  We first stopped by my overlook to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and much sniffing was undertaken.  Anxious to get to the meat of our excursion, we hopped in the Hybridmobile for a short ride to my Indian mound park.  No, pooches, the Indian mound was not our destination.  It was simply a launching point for a long hike through the forest to find the perfect location for our picnic.

After trekking through the deep forest in a very remote location for a considerable distance, we emerged on the shore of my Rez!  Woo hoo!  The picnic tablecloth was spread on the forest floor and we chowed down on the aforementioned ribs and coleslaw. It was a meal befitting our celebration of no more painting projects and a grand excursion.

Pooches, we’ve made it back to our den where Starlight and I have to make up for our missed morning naps.

Sunshine

It is a fine and dandy day at my overlook.

All that moss on the trees makes the forest look spooky!

Look, Starlight, we've stumbled across my Rez!

Come on, grab another rib and share!

The faithful Hybridmobile is waiting as we emerge from our forest trek.
