Pooches, my manservant attended to his walk/run early this morning before heading to an appointment in a not-so-nearby-village with his teeth vet for the second day in a row.
He returned in late morning and suggested that, because the weather gods had smiled upon us and we had a cool fall-like day in store for us, we could enjoy it by taking an excursion through the poochhood and pick up litter that had been strewn about by the morning’s gusty breezes. Starlight and I were game and we had a grand time sniffing what little smells that are left because of the drought and pointing out pieces of rubbish that needed to be picked up and placed in the rubbish bag by my manservant.
Upon our return to the den, my manservant withdrew tuna-corn salad from the icebox and we enjoyed our lunch on the picnic bench in the cool breezes that were blowing.
After lunch my manservant looked at the can of paint he procured yesterday for an upstairs painting project. Then he sighed and looked at Starlight and me. His face brightened up and he suddenly suggested that because he had an errand to run at the market we could enjoy a second excursion. Starlight and I whooped and hollered all the way to the Hybridmobile which gleefully carried us to my overlook park amid conversations about the lack of merits of painting inside on such a pretty day.
We’re back at our den now and my manservant is mulling over how to prepare the red snapper he obtained this morning for tonight’s dinner.
It’s such a nice day, pooches, there’s no doubt we will spend much of the remaining afternoon outdoors.
