Pooches, our den has been a beehive of activity today. Following my manservant’s return from his walk/run park this morning he squirreled away in the study trying to complete the many tasks left to be done in preparation for his departure this afternoon for his weekend of academic responsibilities. He did take time off in mid-morning to take the Hybridmobile to the oil change concern for an oil-letting and oil transfusion.
Starlight and I didn’t hold out much hope for an excursion today because of all the last minute activity and we were surprised when my manservant poured a tall takeaway glass of cold milk, assembled both a ham and Swiss on whole wheat and a peanut butter and jelly (also on whole wheat) and packed everything in our picnic hamper! Woo hoo!
We loaded in the Hybridmobile which merrily rolled along the carriageway (enjoying the fresh supply of oil) and, after crossing my spillway, deposited us in my Saturday park. There were few souls there and we had our pick of picnic tables. We soon were enjoying sandwiches and pooch treats before we undertook our customary waterfront stroll.
Pooches, my manservant has departed for his academic responsibilities and, because he is also my photographer, it is unlikely there will be a Silent Saturday tomorrow. Sorry.
Have a good weekend, pooches!
