Pooches, our pack woke up to wonderfully cool temperatures this morning and, after checking the weather prognosticators predictions, we cheered in unison! Woo hoo!! The heat wave has apparently been defeated and we are going to enjoy a week of below normal temperatures! If we could only get a wee bit of rain.
My manservant declined to go on his walk/run this morning and, instead, piddled around our den until he had to journey to the not-so-nearby-village on a mission of mercy with a couple of other manservants. His return to our den was not until excursion time and he immediately began work in the kitchen (and on the outside grill). An unusual menu was in store for us, pooches. When we paraded out to our picnic bench we were treated with grilled ham, grilled corn, and a peanut butter and raspberry jam sandwich (on whole wheat, of course). It was all tasty but I suggested to my manservant that it might not be a good combination to put on a menu if he ever wanted to open a restaurant.
It was not until mid-afternoon that the Hybridmobile was engaged to carry us ever so gently to my Saturday park where we enjoyed a cool breeze blowing off of the water. The only notable incident was when Starlight spied a gaggle of geese and ripped the leash from my manservant’s hand. Unfortunately for Starlight, the end of the leash wrapped around a nearby branch and held her tight! My manservant took her aside and had a quiet discussion with her about pooch behavior after chiding her for such actions.
Sorry to be so late posting today, pooches, but my website solicitor has been a bit fractious today.
