How do you spell relief…cold front!

Finally pooches!!  Relief from the five week-long heat wave has been received!!  A cold front passed through the poochhood yesterday and, although not cool, we are no longer afraid of bursting into flame when we venture outside.  My manservant reported that his walk/run had been quite pleasant this morning.

After changing his mind a half a dozen times, my manservant headed into the concrete jungle to attend a meeting while Starlight was at her groomer getting a new furdo.  My manservant managed to slip out of his meeting just in time pickup Starlight from her groomer.  When they arrived at our den I suggested that we dine at our picnic bench followed by a stroll through the poochhood to pick up litter.  Pooches, because of the recent heat wave we have not been able to stroll through the poochhood at midday.  As we departed the den we told the Hybridmobile to take the rest of the day off which was well received!

Starlight and I had a grand time pointing out litter for my manservant to pick up and place in the refuse bag he carried.  The good news for our poochhood and my manservant’s back is that there were very few pieces of litter!  I suppose another pooch had recently undertaken the task.

My manservant is spending the afternoon in our library continuing his academic preparation.  Starlight and I have decided to take advantage of the relief from the heat wave and play a wee bit outside before afternoon nap time.

Starlight, if it doesn't rain or the authorities don't water my median soon all the plants are going to die.

Starlight, keep up! I don't want to have to drag you all the way back to our den.
