Fabulous Friday!

It’s Friday, pooches!  And what a Friday it has been!

We were awakened at what seemed like the middle of the night when my womanservant arose and departed for the airport for a flight to Beantown.  My manservant decided to head to his walk/run park even though it was still in the dark of night.  When he returned after a lengthy walk/run, the sun still had not risen but he suggested that we go ahead and depart for  yet another early excursion.

Starlight and I were prepared for the suggestion (we had expected it and stayed awake to enjoy our morning coffee).  We headed to the Hybridmobile and thoughtfully watched the sun peek over the horizon when it decided to rise while we glided along to my overlook.  Pooches, the overlook was rather empty at that early hour except for a couple of carriages patiently awaiting those riding their velocipedes on my multi-use trail.  The Hybridmobile visited with the other carriages while my manservant, Starlight, and I headed on an energetic stroll.  Starlight, in usual fashion, had a grand time chasing a gaggle of geese that had been peacefully enjoying the still morning air until Starlight’s arrival.

We finally returned to our den and, my manservant, after enjoying a few cups coffee and waiting for the outdoor power equipment curfew to expire at eight o’clock, headed outside to fire up the lawn manicuring machine and began a morning of yard work.

After completing his outdoor tasks, the yoga costume was donned and the Hybridmobile ferried him to his yoga class.  Looking intent on accomplishing a dreaded task when he returned, my manservant headed to our library to tackle the installation of a new wireless printer on my network.  Starlight and I heard the grumbling and an occasional choice word as he grappled with what he called “fractious devils” (pooches, anything more complicated than a hammer is considered “fractious” by my manservant).

After a while, a cheer was heard from the library and my manservant emerged looking quite proud of himself!  He said he was headed to the market and we would have a backyard picnic excursion on his return.  Starlight and I high-fived each other, not expecting a backyard excursion after already undertaking our earlier excursion.  By early afternoon we were at our picnic bench enjoying steamed King crab!

Woo hoo!  What a day we have had!  See you tomorrow on Silent Saturday.

Sunshine

Sunshine, look at that gaggle across the meadow.

I just love early morning excursions!
