Pooches, the crazy idea came from my manservant upon his return from his walk/run park. He said it was going to be another hot day and that we should head out for our excursion immediately. His excursion plan was to dismiss the idea of our customary picnic and focus on the excursion stroll. Starlight and I were not enthusiastic with the idea but consented and boarded the Hybridmobile for the journey to my school park. As we glided to our destination the Hybridmobile regaled us again with stories of the exciting ride yesterday on top of the Hybridmobile ambulance to the mechanic’s place of business.
We arrived at my school park where our epic stroll began. We first enjoyed the waterfront before heading across the lane toward my multi-use trail. When my manservant’s navigation turned to the north we knew it was his intention to walk all of the way to my overlook! Pooches, that long of a walk is fine in the winter, fall and spring, but it is not a walk we would take on a summer day in the middle of a heat wave!
Too make a long story short, about halfway to my overlook Starlight and I went on strike. We sat down on the trail and refused to go a step further. After some time, deciding all the coaxing in the world was not going to work successfully, my manservant headed in the direction of the Hybridmobile and we followed.
Starlight and I are recovering this afternoon in the cool of our den. I have sent my manservant to attend to a long list of errand in the city so he doesn’t disturb our naps.
Keep cool, pooches.
