Down to earth excursion!

It’s Friday pooches and a scorcher of a Friday!  My manservant headed out early this morning for his walk/run at his walk/run park before returning and completing some gardening duties.  He didn’t last long outside because of the rising heat.  A quick cold shower seemed to refresh him and make him suitable to don his yoga costume before heading out to yoga.  I finished my morning nap while he was at yoga and nervously looked at the outdoor thermometer wondering if the heat was going to cancel today’s excursion.

My manservant headed for the kitchen after yoga class and began putting together a yummy looking concoction of ground boeuf, ground pork, onions, peppers and various sauces.  When the meal had been prepared and generously spooned on an awaiting bun, my manservant issued the call for an excursion.  Because Starlight is still at her pooch obedience trial in Elvistown, it was me and my manservant that hopped into the Hybridmobile.

We issued the instructions to the Hybridmobile to find a spot that was shady.  The Hybridmobile purred down the my Trace while complaining about the hot asphalt.  The Hybridmobile finally pulled off of the asphalt onto the cool grass at my Pine Grove park.

I noted that the Hybridmobile’s boot was filled with items for the food pantry so my manservant suggested we dine on the ground.  A napkin was spread out to serve as our ‘tablecloth’ and we chomped down on a quite delicious barbeque boeuf/pork sandwich.

Pooches, there was a barely perceptible breeze at my park but the temperature hovered around 35ºC and our stroll was fairly short-lived.  I did notice that whenever our stroll took us near the water my manservant held onto my leash rather tightly.  I suppose he is still a bit over-sensitive after our excursion yesterday!

We’re back in the cool of our den now where we plan on spending the afternoon before my manservant departs for a musical.

See you tomorrow on Silent Saturday, pooches!

That's more like it!!

Oh no! There's been a storm at my Pine Grove park.

I'll bet the same storm that hit my Pine Grove park caused someone to lose a piece of their pier railing.

Hurry up and turn on the A/C!
