Pooches, my manservant must have gotten out of bed on the wrong side this morning. He left for an early and abbreviated walk/run and returned shortly and said he was headed to a teeth vet for a root canal. We could tell he was ill-humored and quietly headed to our morning naps.
It seems he spent the entire morning in the teeth vet’s chair and he returned about excursion time grumbling. Starlight and I walked on pins and needles (just an expression, pooches) and dared not ask him about an excursion as he gently ate potato soup.
To our surprise and delight, my manservant suggested we take an excursion during the afternoon. We weren’t sure we wanted to go on an excursion with such a grouch but tried to show excitement at the offer of an excursion. The Hybridmobile glided on pins and needles to my manservant’s walk/run park. Because it was at the height of the heat of the day, we stayed close to my creek and walked mostly under the trees to take advantage of the shade. It was a fine stroll about the park which is busily being prepared for the Fourth of July activities that will be held there.
Pooches, the weekend is almost here!
